Oklahoma Sooner quarterback Travis Etienne threw for 228 yards and three touchdowns and rushed for three scores as the Cowboys snapped Baylor’s three-game winning streak against the Longhorns.
The Cowboys (8-0, 3-0 Big 12) defeated the Bears (4-8, 1-6) 31-24 on Sunday.
The game was a road affair, but the Cowboys scored all five touchdowns on drives of over three minutes in the second half.
Baylor QB Brandon Allen threw for 207 yards and two touchdowns, while LB Tashaun Gipson had 109 yards on 18 carries for the Cowboys.
The Bears also had five sacks, including one by receiver Devin Smith.
The win moved Oklahoma to 3-1 on the season and tied its record for most consecutive wins in the series at five.
Texas finished 3-5 and has lost six straight games against Oklahoma and two of those were by at least nine points.
