Kansas State quarterback Matt Leinart is leading the way as the top-rated Kansas State defensive back, according to Rivals.com.

Leinhart is the nation’s No. 7 player overall and the No. 1 recruit in the class of 2019.

Kansas State’s top recruiting class comes on the heels of another top-five class from last year, which included defensive end Dontae Moore and linebacker Myles Garrett.

The 2018 class featured a top-10 class in several categories, including the nation, No. 6 overall, No, 10 overall, quarterback and the consensus top overall prospect in the 2019 class.

The 2019 class has been ranked as the No., 3, 10 and 13 best classes by Rivals.

The Kansas State recruiting class is led by defensive back Trevon Young, who is the No, 5 overall prospect, Rivals..com has ranked the No 3 prospect in Kansas State history.

Young is a four-star prospect and ranked No. 2 overall by 247Sports.

In addition to Young, the 2019 recruiting class includes four other top-100 prospects, including defensive tackle Andrew Smith, defensive back Sam Linton, cornerback Jalen Johnson and safety Rashan Martin.

The 2018 class also includes offensive tackle Isaiah Brown and safety Dontay Burnett.

Young is also one of only two top-25 prospects in the 2018 class.

In addition to his stellar performance at the NFL Combine, Young also had the best performance in a single combine.

Young posted a 4.49 40-yard dash at the combine.
