Michigan defensive tackle Brandon Thomas has signed with the Hawkeyes, a source with knowledge of the situation confirmed to NBC Sports.

Thomas, who was a first-round pick of the Denver Broncos in 2014, played in five games as a true freshman for the Hawkeye defense, recording one tackle, one tackle for loss and two pass breakups in 16 career snaps.

He recorded six tackles, a tackle for a loss, a sack, two quarterback hurries, two passes defensed and one pass defended during the 2014 season.
