UGA football season is finally here and the UGA Bulldogs are once again going all out.
The Georgia Southern Eagles have lost to Georgia Southern, 21-10, and the Bulldogs are now just two wins away from a bowl berth.
The Bulldogs are also the first team to lose a season opener since the 2014 season.
The Bulldogs are looking to build off of a 27-14 win against No. 3 Georgia Southern on Saturday.
UGA head coach Jeff Scott said after the game that the team is feeling a lot of confidence and that’s one of the reasons they’ve been able to build up such a big lead over the Falcons.
The Eagles’ defense is solid, but they’ve struggled to stop the Falcons in their past two games.
Georgia Southern has scored four touchdowns in their last three games.
The Falcons were also able to get two first downs in the first half and convert three of their four fourth-down attempts.
The two teams meet again Saturday in Atlanta.
