Michigan has committed to Miami.

The Wolverines were one of the few programs that offered Miami head coach Jim Harbaugh a verbal commitment.

Miami has a strong track record with top-tier prospects like quarterback Dwayne Haskins, wide receiver Josh Doctson and cornerback Desmond King, among others.

Miami has also recruited well in recent years, including three of the top-five prospects in 2018.

Michigan has a history of recruiting top-ranked players and has been linked to some of the country’s best in recent recruiting class.

The Spartans are ranked No. 1 nationally and No. 8 in the South, but they have yet to commit to a player this early.

They are also one of two teams to commit.

Michigan will likely have to commit as early as Friday morning to make a decision on whether to make Haskens, a quarterback who threw for 4,095 yards with 28 touchdowns and 12 interceptions last season.

Haskins is rated as a three-star prospect according to 247Sports and was ranked as the No. 6 player in the state of Florida.

He will likely land in the top 10 of his class.

Deon Cain was the No 1 recruit in the 2018 class according to ESPN and committed to Michigan earlier this month.

He is rated the No 2 prospect in the 2019 class and is a two-star.
